Table sixteen

21:25 at the Swan and Dove glass doored restaraunt .The skinny receptionist ran her mulberry nail down the reservations book and muttered ,'the Browns ,where've we got you? Aha! here we are, table sixteen you're the.....'
....'first to get here?' Lucy finished for her, smoothing down her crimson aysmyetric dress. She wasn't confounded or surprised by the matter, even though she had tried to get there fashionably five minutes late, so she could get the evening over and done with. A waiter, rather tall,with his caliginous hair swept over in a glossy quiff, pointed her in the direction of the table. Light Jazz music played softly in the background as she sat and pretended to study the French menu, whilst telling herself to be ten minutes late next time.

Big built men entered the room and handed over their business card to the apprehensive waiter. One was a bit of a character with his ultramarine suit, which had button holes dotted all over both sleeves, through which his lemon shirt peeped out. On his hand was an array of gold rings with symbols engraved on them. On his arm rested a woman wearing an imposing gold dress, which seemed to glitter around the room, causing quite a stir with the other women already seated at their dimly lit tables. The waiter showed them to a extravagant table dotted with flowers, and bottles of champagne leaning inside an ice cool bucket .

After intensley waiting, she ordered a glass of rosé wine . Scanning the room for the eighth time, she pulled out her black leather handbag,from which she produced a crimson red lipstick . After coating both lips, she popped the lid back on and tucked the bag underneath the chair before looking up to see .....

herself. Staring down at her, like a mirror image except for this exact copy was not, infact, copying. She was pouting, frowing down at her other self. Neither of them moved. The room around them began to feel rather unconfortable.

Nothing else matterd at that point. Just the astiction filled the room replacing the discussions.Silhouettes turned to overlook the next few minuits whilst the next glass of wine was poured.
